HOW WILL YOU ADAPT?

Welcome to the Fire Adapted Communities Pathways Interactive Tool!

Community members often recognize the fact that wildfire can impact their area. However, resource limitations or the inability to access available resources can hamper action. In some instances, community members have identified their risk and want to take steps, but simply don’t know where to begin. This interactive tool is designed to support community adaptation in all of those instances, by helping users select adaptation methods (known as “practices”) which make the most sense for your community.

At the end of the process, communities will have a unique set of fire adaptation practices, the ability to download a custom graphic and spreadsheet, access to resources and case studies, and a deeper understanding of what it means to live with wildfire in their place. The tool is web-based and free; all you need is a user account to begin.
